How ranking works

  • Only completed scorecards count, and every result is checked for a plausible score, roll count and time before it's listed.
  • Ties break toward the faster finish, rewarding decisive play as well as big scores.
  • Signed-in players keep a permanent name on the board and sync records across devices; guests can still post a display name.
  • Switch between Today, This Week, This Month and All Time above to see recent form or lifetime bests.

What counts as a good Yahtzee score?

Scores vary a lot by variant and by dice, but here's a rough guide to aim for:

Just learningFinishing the card at all is the win - don't watch the total yet.
Casual playerA comfortable game that lands near the average.
Getting goodBeating 250 regularly by protecting bonuses and planning zeros.
Board contenderWell past 250 with a five-of-a-kind or two banked.

The fastest way to climb this board isn't lucky dice - it's routing every roll to the row where it's worth most and taking your zeros where they hurt least.
