How multiplayer Yahtzee works
1. Create & share
Pick a game, create a room, and send the link (or the 6-letter code) to your opponent. No account needed.
2. Ready up
When you're both in the room, hit Ready. The server deals the identical dice stream to both of you at the same moment.
3. Roll
Fill your own scorecard while your opponent's score ticks up in real time. When both cards are complete, the higher total wins; give up and your opponent takes it.
4. Rematch
One click deals fresh identical dice to both players in the same room. Best of five is the house tradition.

Why play a friend?
Yahtzee was always meant to be loud. The solo game is a fine puzzle, but the game's whole culture - the table talk, the groans, the shout when the fifth six lands - comes from playing against someone. Multiplayer Yahtzee keeps everything you love about the classic game and adds a person on the other side making different choices from the exact same dice. The result is pure, comparable skill: when you win, it's because you played the rolls better.
Same dice, decided by skill
Every match is built on a single shared seed, so both players face the exact same dice stream. No one gets luckier rolls. That means a win is never fortune - it's who chased the right bonus, protected the right rows, and took their zeros where they hurt least. If you concede or disconnect, your opponent takes the match. It pairs naturally with our daily challenge (one shared dice stream for the whole world each day) and the leaderboard, where your biggest solo scores are ranked.
Which games can you play head-to-head?
Live head-to-head is available for six favourites: Yahtzee, Yatzy, Maxi Yatzy, Triple Yahtzee, Generala and Kismet. Pick one when you create your room; your opponent gets the matching dice automatically.

Do I need an account to play multiplayer?
No. Anyone with the room link can join as a guest and enter a display name. Signing in is optional and simply keeps your record and stats across devices.
What happens if my opponent disconnects?
If a player leaves or loses connection mid-match, the remaining player wins. You can also start a rematch with one click, which deals a fresh identical dice stream to both players in the same room.
