The benchmarks
Around 150-200 is a typical casual game. Break 250 and you played well; that usually means you secured the upper bonus and filled the big lower boxes. Skilled players average roughly 240-260 without any Yahtzee, and 300+ games almost always include the 50-pointer. The leaderboard ranks games by highest score, so you can see exactly where your best stacks up.
Where the points come from
A strong game is built on boring consistency: 63+ up top for the 35-point bonus, solid sums in Three and Four of a Kind, the fixed 25/30/40 from Full House and the straights, and Chance used as a safety valve rather than wasted early. The Yahtzee itself is the cherry - roughly a 4.6% chance per turn when chased - not the cake.
The theoretical ceiling
With the 100-point bonus for every extra Yahtzee, a perfect game - five of a kind on all 13 turns, scored optimally - totals 1,575.
